Damn! GGG has 3 mandatories in a year!

WBA - Jacobs vs Sulecki winner

    IBF - Derveychenko

    WBC - Charlo

So does GGG have to fight all his mandatories before fighting Canelo in a rematch? How is this situation going to work out?

It's like a tiger, a panther, a jaguar, and a rhino all surrounding a lion. The winner of GGG-Canelo has all good match ups coming up.

He will fight Canelo for the huge payday. GGG fears nobody but he fights for a living and is old for a boxer and slowing down. He had a goal of winning all the belts and he gave it a mighty try. He also has an obligation to himself to make as much money as possible while he still can. The Canelo fight is a must if he is to do this. Even if he fights 3 times a year he can possibly fight Canelo and 3 bad ass mandatories in time to make everybody happy. He is going to be stripped of 1 or more of his titles but as long as he beats Canelo and fights only top middleweights(no Vanes type guys) after that and beats them most fans will still consider him the true middleweight champion. The majority opinion of boxing fans means more than any belt.

I suppose if unification trumps mandatories... IF GGG beats Vanes... assuming it happens, he can unify against Saunders in the fall... then Canelo if others accept step aside cash... then mandatories.

Vanes now.. Unify Saunders in September, then either mandatories or Canelo.

Nope. They (IBF) aren't allowing a unification fight. If he wants to keep the belt, he has to face Sergiy. Unless Sergiy accepts step aside $$

IBO just announced if he wants that belt
He’s gotta face Cookie Monster on crack
              That makes it 7 mandatory’s
Bet you he don’t comply with any
              Just the state of boxing

                I've said this before too.

GGG should forget about legacy and all that stuff at this point. If it hasn't happened to this point, it will never happen. Too old and too late in boxing years.

Instead, be honest with yourself and the fans, and take whatever fight makes you the most money, and get out.

                Screw the critics!
