I always liked GGG. I still do, but this whole Canelo situation has gone on and on. Now we get Vanes which sucks. Plus, any fight, he could really fade. He already has to a point and I don't see it getting better. I had higher hopes, but we will see. I'll still watch him until he hangs them up. Still wonder what a GGG-Pirog fight would have been like.

Yeah, I was expecting a much different fight there. I still had GGG winning but it was close and honestly I thought GGG would take DJ down and he didn't come close to that. He also took too many shots. It was crazy because when he was fighting the lesser competition, he didn't get hit much at all. I liked his defense and his positioning and all, but then he gets in with a top middleweight and it's like, what happened there? When the comp rises things start to stand out. And hey. Maybe I expected too much. i can admit that, but I still thought he'd make a much clearer statement that he was clearly better than DJ and that didn't happen. So yes, credit to Dj who fought a smart fight. Made GGG look not so great.
