Chose this horrible fight that fans and media are killing him for even when IBF told him they wouldn't sanction it and it would cost him his belt. Could of fought his mandatory or moved the date and fought Saunders if he really cared about the belt. Now he getting stripped because all he cares about is canelo money. I he tried to keep the belt hostage as he beggs for canelo money and wanted to fight bums and 154lb gate keepers coming off the couch to not risk losing. There is no argument to be made this is the right call by IBF he hasn't defended his belt in 2 years.

This was ordered AFTER the Vanes fight because what comes after this fight - Canelo GGG. That is the biggest fight in boxing right now. Nothing is getting in the way of that.

Canelo/GGG = lots of money. Which = more money to pay Dervy for step aside money. Canelo GGG happens in September and Dervy gets a lot of step aside money.

Anyone know what guys usually get to step aside? Is it a percentage?

There was no reason to keep this date at the cost of your belt. GGG ain't mexican, moved from MGM because his camp knows they can't sell tickets in Vegas with canelo. Loeffler clearly wanted to cancel the date but his client is a moron and forced the issue. The obvious solution was move the date to June fight your mandatory or saunders. What a backfire
