Seen this coming...this frees up a belt for SD v Andrade for the IBF belt and the winner to face Charlo later this year.

That'd make sense, if not for the fact that Charlo also has his own WBC mandatory, with the timing being set in a way where the winner of Alvarez-Golovkin 2 would have to fight him or give up the belt (after Charlo takes his stay-busy fight in August).

To that, you can also add Andrade being highly rated by both the WBO and IBF giving him his pick of two possible world titles.

SD as IBF champion, Charlo as WBC champion, Saunders-Andrade winner as WBO champion, and Jacobs-Murata winner as WBA champion, with Golovkin and Alvarez fighting for the Golden Boy magazine distinction (Oscar has already made it clear that three fights would be nice, and Golovkin's actions have made it plainly clear that he's looking to cash out)

A cluster**** in the short term, but everyone will be better for it in the long term.

Chose this horrible fight that fans and media are killing him for even when IBF told him they wouldn't sanction it and it would cost him his belt. Could of fought his mandatory or moved the date and fought Saunders if he really cared about the belt. Now he getting stripped because all he cares about is canelo money.
