Comments Thread For: Hearn: Wilder's Team Selling Him Dream of Upside That Doesn't Exist

NEW YORK Eddie Hearn senses Deontay Wilder is comfortable with his team assuring Anthony Joshua a $50 million payday for their fight because they've convinced Wilder that he'll make plenty of money from the overall revenue generated by the event. The problem for Wilder, according to Hearn, is Hearn's estimates of the worth of their huge heavyweight title unification could leave the unbeaten WBC champion with less than the $12.5 million guarantee Hearn offered Wilder earlier this month. Hearn's obligation, of course, is to make Joshua as much money as possible for that dangerous bout between unbeaten knockout artists.

That’s your problem Loudmouth. You SHOULD NOT be worried about Deontay. You are not his promoter. Haymon has been paying his fighters well just worry about AJ passing VADA and signing the contract.
You don’t give a dámn about Wilder you’re just using this as an excuse to put on more garbage boring fights.

Who has been getting fighters paid Al Haymon or Eddie Hearn? lmao! Hearn gets one star and now he thinks he’s god of boxing. Pretty sure Deontay is going to be compensated fairly well.AL Haymon has been involved in 3 of boxing biggest ppvs. Finkel has managed stars like Pacquiao and Tyson. Lou DiBella was an executive at HBO for 11 years and was one of the masterminds behind Boxing after Dark. I think those three know if a fight is an 100m dollar fight or not. I highly doubt they would over estimate a fight. How many big ppvs Bearn been involved in?lmao

JuicinJ said "let's roll" but Eddie Hearn told him to STFU.

AJ is not his own man. Fckn weak coward. Tell your hoe ass promoter to let you get knocked out like a man and stop coddling you.

Hearn more worried about what Wilder is getting paid than his own fighter. Pathetic fool.

AJ said "give me $50 million and I'll sign SAME DAY." Don't worry wtf Wilder is making you rat bastard just make the damn fight.

Wilders upside isn't any of hearns concern so by him bringing it up, he looks like he's trying to do anything to sabotage this fight from happening.

I think Hearn is correct. They don't have the guarantee, they want Joshua to agree so they can shop around and try and get it. Which is why they don't want to meet or send a contract. Team Wilder offering money they don't have. BS PR stunt.

He wants to see a contract and know the details of the fight? This is the same guy who pretty much made the same offer as Team Wilder, only difference his offer was a flat fee of 12.5 million. He didn't send no contract, never mentioned any of the details he's asking for now and Wilder's team never met up with him because they didn't agree to the offer Hearn made. Why is it so hard to say, yes we agree and then meet up and talk about the details to draft a contract. Hearn isn't going to accept the 50 million for AJ. He's already said that AJ is the A side and he needs to have a say in the fight. Hearn wants to run the show even though its Team Wilder making the offer to them.

"Wilder’s handlers would argue Hearn shouldn’t be the least bit concerned with Wilder’s guarantee or how he’ll maximize his earnings from facing Joshua."

                  My thoughts exactly

Additionally, there were several other quotes from Hearn here that are concerning lol

Did Hearn send Wilder a contract?
