I mean...he can’t say Ward was the best. People would say he’s ducking. Duh.

Imagine Errol Spence fights the first guy to KO Pacquiao and goes “Back in 96, this guy was beating the fighter of the decade. He’s irrefutably the best Filipino fighter. His KO win over Pacquiao before he was old is proof enough.”

It’d be the most ******ed s hit we’ve ever heard...only second to Vanes being the best of anything.

Quit tryna hype this bs up. It's a ***** waste of a fight. That's why Vegas and ppv kicked it to the curb. Triple g took a triple L on this one.

What the heck does that have to do with now!? GGG is my dude but c'mon son. Vanes is 2 years inactive, moving up in weight and I can't even really remember the last guy he beat. Ishe Smith perhaps?

It's a ridiculous fight when the fighter has to make excuses about why the guy he's fighting is good enough. It's not as if he had no options... it is, however, funny.

14 years ago FFS, that was back when the Kobe-Shaq Lakers were still a thing. You can't make this stuff up.

Vanes is irrelevant at 160 where he's got almost no experience, he hasn't fought in 2 years, his hair is even showing some grey, and his trainer is garbage.

surely much better fight than some joke like Spike O'Sullivan and Golovkin at his age better use his time properly wasted in camp being in shape fighting someone proven than just losing money, time and energy

You 100% right, I will also be watching the May 4th card on ESPN. Ryan Garcia vs Valez will be better. I'd like to see what Ryan has stepping up in competition.
