"It would be non-productive to meet." That must be the biggest load of **** I've ever read. Somebody needs to take Shirley Winkle to the retirement home already and let Hearn and Haymon sit down and work this **** out

      Pathetic.
OK not a Joshua or Wider fan. Why don't you get in the ring with Joshua then report back..

Just to reiterate the thoughts of many bona fide boxing fans, fighters fight... that is their job. It is mendacious to claim that a boxer is "cowardly" or "scared" when they have chosen as their profession a career which, for the most part, does NOT pay well and does NOT end in good outcomes. Fighters fight because they love fighting. Yes, you can have fighters who turn out to be more interested in public image or $$$ than in testing themselves, but that does not negate the fact that professional boxing is a sport that, fundamentally, requires balls.

In comparison to other sports, boxers tend to have short careers, and are generally screwed over by everyone possible: managers, promoters, sanctioning bodies... For every boxing superstar, there are thousands who didn't make it. You cannot blame boxers for going after the big paying prize-fights if they can. And yes, some get greedy, even talk a lot of bs, but again, fighters are not cowards, far from it. For example, what looks like record-padding is usually the result of good management. You can ask, 'Why isn't this person fighting the best opposition possible?', and sometimes that is appropriate, but you must realise that a fighter will typically fight WHOEVER, WHENEVER, providing the details make sense. It's simple risk/reward, and a manager is there to make sure the right fights happen at the right time. Good management is a dark art, and not well appreciated.

I'm not saying I understand fully the best way for fights to get made but going through wars literally knocks years off a boxer's career; how can it be cowardly to ask for appropriate recompense in light of those risks? Look around the boxing community, you will see regular appeals for money for old-time boxers who left their hearts in the ring. Seems to me like boxers in the modern era are starting to get smart with money. You cannot resent them too much for that, as they put their lives on the line for our entertainment.

AJ satisfies the three conditions of cowardice:

                1. Bold in the face of a weak opponent
                2. Meek in the face of an equal foe
                3. Feigns bravado in front of others

That offer looks like bull**** to me.
It's not even an offer, it's a gingle wider typed on twitter to AJ and he got the response he never expected "let's roll". Hearn ran with speed for a meeting but shinkel or do you guys call him cancelled the meeting.
This is a coordinated plan for BS.

Here you go, a homeless bum offers you $50 million to rob a bank.

You would be ****** not to take it right? And the offer is only good for 1 hour.
You would be ****** to take it if you know there was NO WAY for you to actually collect on that money.

An email from Wilder, not even his managers with ZERO details is NOT a contract or a legitimate offer.

This was simply a PR stunt.

Wilder has ZERO desire to fight AJ and does not have ANY ability to guarantee him $50 million. He knows that and he knows that AJ and Hearn are not ****** and would not agree to it. Hence why Wilder's PR stunt.

There is a reason why AJ makes $10 million or more per fight and Wilder is fighting bums for less than $2.

If Wilder and his people were serious or had the money, they would actually have a meeting and discuss the contract.
Brada, you have said it all.
