IBF has ordered Plant-Fielding for final eliminator for 168 title

And I dont think it happens. Both Plant and Fielding could go straight to title shots against Benavidez and Ramirez. Degale should be fighting Uzcategui....

Yeah totally agree with all those matches you said. I saw reports of Ramirez-Fielding and Benavidez-Degale unification but they are unofficial matchups.

Fielding definitely going to be fighting Ramirez for his title and I believe DeGale will have to fight Uzcategui or vacate. So Plant might get somebody else in an eliminator, maybe fight Uzcat for the big belt if DeGale vacates, or go after Benavidez. Regardless, I'd be shocked if Fielding and Plant actually fought in an eliminator

It would be lame. I kinda wanna see Plant get beat up by Benavidez but a bigger name should happen next for David.

If he can't get a unification, there aren't a lot of great fights available right now. I was probably hoping he'd get to beat up Anthony Dirrell after his Abie Han fight this weekend

I'm still not sure what I think of Plant, who boxed very well against what appeared to be a completely shot Porky Medina. Could see this one going either way and also think both guys would have a shot against a fading DeGale. Uzcategui is the snake in the weeds here though, I think he rips all 3 of these dudes to shreds. Doesn't Uzcategui also have a fight scheduled coming up, or was rumored to? I was sure I heard something about him making a voluntary defense.

Also could be an interesting situation with Fielding, a Matchroom guy, fighting on the undercard of a Mikey fight, considering Hearn is apparently trying to woo him now. Will be something to keep an eye on

Imagine the toll that would drop if Haymon said hes going with Hearn, Haymon and Hearn together as one. The promised land, no more arguments, just a few Canelo kids stumbling around wondering what the **** just happened. "We still have our $100 PPVs though"

If this is successful that's how things pan out imo.

That would be ultimate craziness if that happened. Like Sauron and Saruman and the union of the Two Towers
