Karmanzin is he still the champ???Originally posted by mic573Ouma has been trying but Karmanzin doesn't want a rematch.
he must know that ouma didnt take him to seriouse and thats why ouma lost. he dont give a rematch strip that ****erComment

I won't comment on that, because that was in '94 and I wasn't watching boxing back then and I don't know what politics (if any) were involved that prevented the fight from coming off.Originally posted by ferocityso...have winky every tried avenging his lose to julio cesar vasquez before he retired....no he didn't
I will say this, though. Winky is technically not in the same division as Ouma anymore and both of them are on two seperate roads that don't look like they're going to cross anytime soon. Winky's primary focus right now should be on another fight with Taylor and Ouma's main focus should be on fighting the winner of Spinks/Karmazin (I mean, after all... he has had some tune-ups. What's he waiting for?)Comment

He's been hiding behind Don King's options. Ouma doesn't want to give King any options on his future fights and I don't blame him.Comment

Ouma is waiting for Karmazin to own up to his word and give him the rematch after he said he would.Originally posted by jack_the_rippuhOuma's main focus should be on fighting the winner of Spinks/Karmazin (I mean, after all... he has had some tune-ups. What's he waiting for?)Comment

i think theirs few fighters and contenders these days who value taking on tough contenders.
delahoya is one another is Jesse James Leija, after he defeatd Nelson, people favored Leija against the dangerous contender Gabrial Ruelas. People called Leija crazy for taking on a dangerous opponet in Ruelas, who was the number 1 contender. But Leija said somthing like, "when my kids are old enough to know about their dad, they will see that he avoided no one, that he fought the best fighters out their...." and as we know Leijia lost his title to Ruelas, but this was not the end of Leijia as we know. Ans Lejia keep proving to all of us he is a great fighter and his kids must defently be proud of their dad.
yes, i'd go for the money too, especially "early" on in my career. BUT, winky alreay is financially succure, money wise. So why not face the top fighter?
i always bring up Kassim Ouma because its the truth that winky ducked ouma. and every time i listen to winky he is always talking about how fighters ducked him which ain't true. And so now he won a world title. and what does he do? he ducks his number one contender. Very sad ****, i say, for winky to run his mouth how people ducked him, yet, he ducked kassim ouma even giving his title away rather then face kassim ouma.Comment

I forgot to add that Kassim Ouma was very well respected by the boxing world and earned his number 1 ranking and title shot.Comment

Winky went up in weight cause a middleweight called him out. So now, its winkys turn to call out Ouma, who he should have fought years ago. I belive Ouma would have no problem in going up in weight to face winky.Comment
