I'm not going to lie I'm curious to see how they plan on coming up with 50 million dollars!!! . Definitely need more details on this. What is Wilder planning on receiving in return is the bigger question. We know he's not fighting for 12.5 million, so is he getting closer to 20 million in return. Whoever handles the money for Wilders team had d@m well know what they are doing or they could potentially bankrupt the PBC budget SMH lol

To be honest I just want the fight to take place. Having said that if that 50 million is there and Joshua doesn’t fight that is definitely not a good look and I’m a Joshua fan. However if that 50 million comes with no rematch, which is strange because a rematch benefits both parties especially financially also a world wide tour similar to Mayweather vs McGregor and no tv rights etc I can see there being an impasse. The main issue was the money and that has been ticked . I can see the contract going like this

          35 million guarantee
          Rematch clause
          Both fights in U.K.
          Wilder guarantee 20 million + %

The theory is they may be selling Deontay that they can make 70 profit which would be about 90 gross to give him 20 to make the risk worth while. He won't be on a fixed amount just relying on his profit share he could end up with nothing or next to nothing see Kov in Ward Kov.

I'm not sure the advice Deontay is getting now or ever is the best.

These are big numbers with a lot of unkowns Hearn thinks they have their numbers wrong can big AL prove him wrong. AJ is minted either way ... DW not so sure. DW will gain home advantage but surely he's planning on a stoppage I think AJ out points him everytime if he tries to box too much.

You can say a lot of things about Haymon, but he always delivers the money. If AJ accepts the fight, the money will be there.

Why would someone pay lawyers before they need to?

They do the contracts once terms are agreed.

Hearn putting together big fights in the US or Haymon doing that?

                  Who has actually done it?

This is not exactly true either, typically in contract negotiations, someone makes an offer, the other party makes a counter offer, and from there forms are drawn up by attorneys and both parties' attorneys go line by line to determine what's in or out of the contract. Its a process and it usually takes weeks. But there also has to be a starting point and some meeting of the minds, like a basic agreement that "we are gonna do this, and you are gonna do that."
