Yup, I scored the 12th round for Wright as well. I thought that he had Taylor completely offbalance for that whole round. I don't like how the HBO guys described it as him running. I don't think that is fair or accurate, he was boxing him, not running. Running is when you simply try to not get hurt, and not worry about winning the round. In the last round Wright was feinting and moving beautifully, keeping his opponent off-balance. I actually still had Taylor winning the fight by two rounds though. My disagreement with a lot of other people came with the scoring of some of the early rounds that I gave to Taylor and other people gave to Wright.Originally posted by Rockin1Dirt E and I had a discussion last night about the 12th round of the Taylor/Wright bout. Dirt E stated that it was Winkys round. After watching the replay of the bout as a judge instead of just a fan I would have to agree. While Winky did not land any telling blows in the round he did touch Taylor on more occasions then he was touched. Taylor did absolutely nothing in the round except for one flurrie with nothing landing flush. With Winky winning the round i could see him winning the bout. 2 of the 3 judges gave the round to taylor, if they had voted the round for Wright it would have been his fight. Good eyes Dirt E Gomez.

I fu$%in' wish, if that were true then both Hopkins fights would have been losses for Taylor IMO, if there's any fight that i'd say would prove to me that agression wins is this one, Taylor was landing real hard shots all night, I still think Winky won the fight though. Taylor had great stamina, and he was landing better then most against Wright, but Wright's gameplan didn't change until Taylor decided not to fall back on the ropes, then Wright started using his feet more, a smart adjustment. In the 12 round Winky switched it up and left Taylor baffled, He didn't fight the way people wanted him to, but I think he did what he had to do to win the round IMHO. I accept the draw not because Winky gave away the 12 round, but because Taylor was effectively aggressive all night.Originally posted by Rockin1Aggresion is only scored by the judges when it is effective aggresion. Pushing the fight but landing nothing does not mean that you win the round. Cant win a round if you dont land any punches. Taylor landed maybe 1 that round. Not enough to carry the round for him.

Wright landed more punches in the round and landed the best punch of the round, a straight left that landed flush on Taylors face with 10 seconds or so to go.
Winky was the aggrssor and was pushing him back for the first 2:00 of the round. Wrights round.Comment

Yea Wright was running.. If i was him i would have fought the 12th round. If you want to be a champ you gotta fight for it. I still gave Taylor the 12th round. That lil flurry might have not landed but it sure was the ONLY flurry in that round.
Wright should have not ran away it's his fault. But i was rooting for Taylor. He young and he can improve.Comment

LOL he was showboating after every round as though he was dominating the fight. Not at all, Winky, not at all.Originally posted by PBF34I honestly think Winky showboating in the last 20 seconds really hurt him.
Idk what the hell he was thinking or doing.Comment

From ESPN.com
Round 12
Wright comes out swinging with a series of lefts. Taylor winds to unleash his right but does not have an opening. Wright is measuring again, sticking a right jab. Wright keeps his distance this time, then throws a right-left. Wright appears more active. Taylor is waiting. Taylor gets in a combination with a minute left in the round. Taylor becomes more aggressive now. Twenty seconds left. Wright moves around not punching, as if he's won the fight. Taylor wins the round virtually by default.
Taylor 10-9
The official judges score it 115-113 Taylor; 115-113 Wright; and 114-114 tie. The fight is declared a draw. Taylor retains his middleweight title.
