Golovkin could have made that fight..... or at least made a genuine attempt..... but he did not

what other conclusion could you possibly come to ?

here are facts, ggg said if Canelo wasn't available for may, he wants to fight saunders, saunders said he wouldn't be ready for may but would fight in late June. You can't fight in late June and yet be available for the biggest pay day of your career vs canelo in Sept. Fighting saunders in June isn't better than a rematch with Canelo in Sept. And another fact is there is video of saunders saying in the past that he wasn't ready for ggg. So perhaps you're the one assuming too much.

Saunders then watched Kell Brook make 4.5-5mil

that is obviously not how to make a fight

and spreading false rumors that the offer was 4.5mil..... is also, not how to make a fight

Who promoted the Brook fight? Hearn. Was he the lead promoter? Yes? Does he have different deals with Sky than Warren had (pre BT) tick yes. Different to HBO - tick yes. You are simplifying to fit your agenda which at this point is the fairly ridiculous Boxing Scene chief Golovkin detractor.

I'm not so sure about June but didn't Saunders have a fight lined up with Murray from months back ? As his team were sure Canelo Golovkin were going to fight next month. Can he just break a contract with Murray just like that and mess up tv schedules. Maybe but as I said in my other post - Golovkin is locked into his $40 million jackpot in September and so would anybody else be in their right mind - and that can be Ward, (especially) Mayweather, Pac, JMM, Loma, Mickey, Charlos, even AJ - nobody is in the business of risking up $40 million paydays

Who is likely to be more tentative? BJS only gains any balls when a fight has already been made - he is hoping and praying that Canelo wins as he'll get a much bigger purse there than with Golovkin - and that has been the case ever since a Golovkin-Canelo fight first became a possibility rather than an improbable Golovkin dream.

Warren is so full of it. Sure Saunders beat Lemieux. The difference is Golovkin pummeled Lemieux into submission and turned his face into hamburger meat. Saunders is a great fighter but please.

I love GGG but I'm a HUGE Saunders fan and I would lean towards Saunders against an ageing 36 year old GGG. Yes GGG beat Lemieux down, but Saunders outboxed him for 12 rounds in what turned out to be an embarrassing showing for Lemieux. I assume GGG will want that pay day and fight Canelo in September which sucks, Saunders is the best fight to be made at 160.

GGG didn't fight Billy because of Canelo's fight even though Billy apparently even signed a contract. I can understand that decision to go after Canelo instead of Saunders.

Your world seems a bit black and white...if there is something you don't know, then your go to move is an assumption of ducking. Billy is not someone to duck, he is not a puncher and GGG has long said he wanted to become undisputed. I hope he will fight Billy in autumn if Canelo fight falls through for whatever reason...more contaminated meat, water, air..

According to both Frank Warren and Golovkin's promoter, they've made an offer for an April fight in the United States.

Saunders has let it slip on twitter that the purse would be 6 million dollars which would be an awful lot of money.
