    Greatest opening round?

I took a trip down memory lane recently and watched Hagler vs Hearns. The first round has more action than most 12 round fights. Two legends, perfect contrast in styles, aggression from both fighters, it has the lot.

I felt out of breath just watching it as the bell sounded. You know that you're watching a fight which couldn't possibly go the distance. Sure enough a couple of rounds later it's all over. Is there a better opening round in boxing history?

Hard to top that fight, I watched it as it unfolded on TV back in 85. The only bout that comes to mind is Louis vs Schmeling II, but it was one sided.

Don't know if there was a better round, that's best left to the boxing historians. I saw it live on TV and I was stunned at the level of violence those two guys displayed.

Not the greatest but canelo vs Kirkland opening round was great it looked like 2 pit bulls going at it.

Hagler-Hearns is the best but also Juan Meza vs. Jaime Garza was one for the ages. A wild first round.

Just watched it, what a left!

Just shows that one round can have it all, go both ways, swing back and forth etc.
