That's 9 of his last 21 fights since 2010. It's pathetic, it really is.

Remember when his fan boys tried to convince us he was a small MW? The size difference between him and Vanes is clear, even against Canelo who was supposedly on roids was made to look much smaller

This guy has to be the biggest joke in boxing, can you imagine if EVERY fighter had the luxury of fighting 43% of their competition from lower weight classes? Their records, especially knockouts, would be insane.
So we can all agree that he should not fight Andrade and CHarlo since they are career JR MW?

Valid points. Not saying that GGG isn't good, but he has benefited from fighting smaller competition.

Didn't golovkin fight at 165 in the Olympics? Yet the others went to 168, while he picked a nice, weak, 160 lb division, whilst claiming anyone from 154-168.

            Ronald Wright
            Felix Sturm
            ODLH

If he had just turned pro at age 15, this wouldn't be a problem.
Kazakhstan was very welcoming to professional boxing in 1997.
It's also GGG's fault that Canelo got caught.
I'm pretty sure Golovkin was also the cause for North Korea resuming their nuclear weapons testing program, global warming and the recent wildfires in California.

No in the Kazakistan boxing system you don't get to pick, your told what division you fight in.

Lemieux - Golovkin was his 27th fight at middleweight. He moved up to his first middleweight fight at the age of 19...

Canelo - fought above 154 since 2014. He was 23 at the time.

Ishida - he has floated above 154 since his 2nd fight in boxing. Golovkin was about his 14th fight above 154. Also interesting to note, he has had 4 fights at heavyweight...

Ouma - He fought Jermain Taylor 5 years before Golovkin at middleweight. Seemed to have fluctuated a lot, but moved up to middleweight for good his fight prior to Golovkin.

Tapia - He moved up to 160 at 24 years old. Need I forget to mention, he also easily beat Heiland the fight prior to Golovkin at middleweight. 10/19 of his total fights he weighed in above 154.

Nunez - He moved up to 160 at 22 years age.

Most of these guys were simply a case of getting older and maturing. This thread is completely dumb.

165 in the Olympics isn't the same as fighting in a professional weight-class... Also, Golovkin was 24 when he went professional.

Good point. Same goes for Lara who some people on here wanted to claim GGG was ducking.

I don't care about his age. I'm quoting this..
Ward who won an olympic medal at light heavyweight
So why is this being brought up if it isn't the same as the pros?
