I agree we don't need all that to enjoy the actual fight.

That said, when you are a fighter that is 25-0 with 22 KOs in fights that have taken place at 135 pounds or lighter, but 8-3-1 with 2 KO victories at the higher weight classes (per Forbes article) then you have to do something to get people to watch.

I don't think anyone would buy "quiet greatness" from Broner because he isn't great.

Yeah I don't want to get too precious about it or see the 'edge' taken out of boxing either. There's a part of me that quite enjoys some of the Broner histrionics. I do find his ring walks entertaining too.

I guess I like to see fighters show a basic level of respect for each other and the sport at the end of the fight. That's what annoyed me on this occasion. But, as above, don't want to get precious about it.

Joe Louis didnt have ppv or ratings, or CIVIL RIGHTS, we do not know much about people of those times, because media or social media was nothing like it is today. AB is a fcking idiot, but at least he actively tries to promote himself and his fights unlike the rest of al haymons stock of useless bums who can't sell a fight for **** but think of themselves as the "a-side" fighter.
