I wouldn’t say it was Showtime, it was Brian Custer. Al, Paulie, Mauro all know better. This is the same Brian Custer who said Deontay Wilder was the only heavyweight with a 100% KO ratio but he didn’t, he had the 12 rd UD with Stiverne. The only heavyweight who had a 100% KO ratio at that time was AJ.

I wouldn’t say fans forgot about Gary Russell, it’s hard to give him any thought when he’s inactive as he has been hence the reason he was nicknamed TBD as long as he was.

Not even considering Gary's long layoff but the big jump up in quality of opposition for Diaz may be somewhat intimidating... it won't be an easy fight & can't say how it ends but I'm sure Russell will be the winner...
