We wouldn't be having Golovkin vs. Vanes had it not been for Canelo. It's not like GGG withdrew from the Canelo fight to face Vanes. Unfortunately with less than a month to go Canelo withdrew from the bout. GGG was already well into his training camp preparing for Canelo's exclusive style. For him to drastically change it up with three weeks to go to face a bigger challenge would be ridiculous. Even Golovkin's team acknowledges that a fight with Sergiy his mandatory could be possible but with a longer build and better money. Vanes stepped up, I give him credit, and GGG played it safe for a fight he also took on three weeks notice. No hate on either guy.

dude just because people like a fighter that you dislike doesn't make them 'girls'. Why are you so quick to forgive a fighter for testing positive for PEDS? We don't know who or what Golovkin wanted we all go from speculation and media reports. At the end of the day GGG just wanted Canelo and Canelo got busted doping. I will continue to support Golovkin and I'm expecting a big name in his next fight.

Fair play to GGG, he didn't ask for this f#cked up situation. That said GGG and his team are still misplaying their hand. No one gives a f#ck about this.

The play was a late notice fight with Derevyanchenko or push the fight out til June/July and fight him.

Although obviously this has nothing to do with fans and it never did. Standard problem with boxing lol. Don't listen to the fans. That's a whole other thing doe.

But what this is about is securing the Canelo II payday in September while not accumulating any rust. Derevyanchenko is a for real cat who could f#ck up GGG's career high payday in September.
