but I agree with THEFRESHBRAWLER, Golovkin has done nothing HOF-worthy

you do not get into the HOF for knocking out tomato-cans, or even Lemieux-level opponents..... he has stepped up twice, but Golovkin did not beat Canelo, and it is debatable whether he beat Danny Jacobs..... who is not HOF-worthy either

imho, Golovkin could not even be considered because of weak resume and weak opponent selection..... he has never fought outside 160, and currently there are a LOT of fighters in his own division who are lining up for a crack at him..... and he doesn't want to fight them either

HOF-entrants need to want to be in those type of firefights..... Golovkin looks disinterested in the top guys, despite being heavily criticized throughout his career for a lack of top fights

fought Adama, instead of Mora - citing a bunch of silly excuses
fought Monroe, instead of Lara - citing a bunch of silly excuses
fought Wade, instead of Ward - citing a bunch of silly excuses
fought Rubio, instead of Cotto - citing a bunch of silly excuses
fought Brook, instead of BJS - citing a bunch of silly excuses
fought Vanes, instead of Derev - citing a bunch of silly excuses

his resume since 2014 should be.....

    Mora
    Geale
    Cotto
    Murray
    Lara
    Lemieux
    Ward
    Saunders
    Jacobs
    Canelo
    Derevyanchenko

    not.....

    Adama
    Geale
    Rubio
    Murray
    Monroe
    Lemieux
    Wade
    Brook
    Jacobs
    Canelo
    Vanes

there are sooooo many pointless/irrelevant fights in that bunch

and sooooo many fights that should happened, but did not

a HOF fighter should not have a history of making silly excuses..... they should have a history of reaching for greatness, not avoiding opponents because they present a threat or a difficult style
you wasted a whole lot of time writing a whole lot of crap

He didn't even BEAT Solomon. Sam was ROBBED!

"Sam Soliman denied by Dominic Wade in controversial bout"

“It took me 45 minutes to get to my dressing room because so many people stopped me to say they couldn’t believe the decision, that it was disgusting, “ Soliman said.

Some of the crowd booed when the scorecards were read out.

GGG is definitely a HOFer btw.

Didn't y'all hear that young man on Saturday?

"I want a chance to fight the HOFer. One of the best to ever do it."

Love that quote from the young man.

But all b.s. aside, GGG goes in with no resistance. Times have changed.

You’re right about Evander, I got carried away typing away at this cat. My point isn’t whether or not there were more or less weight classes, my only point is not all fighters in the HOF went up in weight that’s all. By that estimation, no heavyweight would make Canastota in the modern category.

You DO know they ADDED quite a few weight classes over the years also???

no..... but they sought the best possible fights, and they won them

Golovkin avoided the best fights, and the two times he did step up, he walked away with a *

                      this is a HOF resume.....

                      Mora
                      Geale
                      Cotto
                      Murray
                      Lara
                      Lemieux
                      Ward
                      Saunders
                      Jacobs
                      Canelo
                      Derevyanchenko

                      this, is not.....

                      Adama
                      Geale
                      Rubio
                      Murray
                      Monroe
                      Lemieux
                      Wade
                      Brook
                      Jacobs*
                      Canelo*
                      Vanes

Golovkin is a protected network darling, who has happily tip-toed through the tulips..... not sure why/how that aint obvious to everyone
