"Bite the bullet" is an excellent metaphor for what's going on here. Danny got the GGG call, missed his shot w/ the loss and then scrambled to avoid risking any potential rematch.

Funny thing though. By doing this, he's missed out on all opportunities to actually try and force a fight. He's not mandatory for any belt.

Charlo represents his easiest path back to a title shot due to the ******* rules of the WBC. Why he isn't kicking and screaming for that fight seems obvious to me. He doesn't want the risk.

i remember the days when ggg was waiting for his wbc shot...he fought lemieux, jacobs, murray, and tried to fight guys like saunders and quillin who turned him down. this guy has tba scheduled until he finally gets that wbc shot. they called ggg the bum basher and now they are back to being business fans saying hes waiting for his shot nothing wrong with that.

At this point I'd be happier if GGG dropped a title or 2. Maybe some of these guys would fight one another. GGG will be fighting Canelo and then Saunders if he wins the Canelo fight. Are these guys gonna just keep fighting bums until the end of next year? There's some talent at 160 but we won't be seeing any of them get in tough because they can just sit on their mandatory spot forever. Too many titles in this sport

Canelo has faster hands than charlo charlo don’t move his head much and foward to much canelo would counter him I would say ggg is a harder test than charlo in my honest opinion

People give GGG s*** for fighting 'bums' while fighting the best at 160, and apparently he's ducking Charlo, but when is Charlo going to actually fight someone? Now is the chance to make a statement and fight a Jacobs, Andrade or Derevyanchenko!
