Is Gervonta Davis on the p4p list? He’s still on the upcoming prospect list. Dumb Comparison. There’s different expectations for certain fighters if you don’t know that you shouldn’t be watching boxing

Please stop trying to justify this sham of a fight. You're not fooling anybody. Just accept that it's crap and move on.

This topic is brought up ad nauseam. It's simple to me:

          1. The Vanes fight is bad. No way around it. It seems as though Vanes was willing to fight and risk it for a $120,000 pay. Spike wasn't. Gennady wanted a whole camp to prepare for Sergiy and enough time to promote it. It sucks, but that's the reality of it. (The "he's just afraid to fight his mandatory" narrative is played out)

          2. The "lion" Jermall will have to wait until after the Canelo fight. And he knows that. So barking about it just isn't going to cut it. In the meantime, he should continue building his resume. He hasn't fought anyone in the top 10 since moving up. Outside of the WBC, both Andrade and Jacobs are top 5 in just about every other sanctioning body ranking. Those would be extremely good names to have on his resume.

          3. Those who have a problem with Gennady NOT fighting Charlo next need to direct that anger and energy towards the WBC and the IBF. They are the ones that are dictating his mandatories. As it stands, WBC has it's priority rematch. The IBF has it's long overdue mandatory. All while the Saunders unification awaits, which technically could trump all of them - not money wise, but the fact that it's a unification, it CAN put the rest of them on hold.

We as fans don't get to decide who should fight who. We certainly don't get to decide who is afraid of who just because certain fights don't happen just because we want them to. Unless your last name is Mendoza, Sulaiman, Varcarcel, or Peoples - we don't get to choose a thing. All anger should be directed towards those 4 names.

Oh oh you presented a thoughtful realistic analysis of the situation. Get braced for a firestorm of criticism from a certain group of idiots.

You realize Centeno got ranked that high because he beat Aleem? Who beat Khytrov? I'm not saying it was a good fight but Centeno earned his ranking.

And the IBF ordered the Derva fight. What's your point?

Charlo and others can't help but fight cans when Triple Duck, the chump, has his tail between his legs. Utter garbage.

                  Fight or vacate.

He should be. What's the bases for Triple Duck's ranking?

Agreed. Centeno and Heiland are very low level guys.

The Charlos are clearly talented fighters but we need to see them at a higher level now. The one time we've seen Jermall fight a top guy, he had to really dig deep to pull out a close decision against Trout.

Same with Jermell, the one time he's fought a proven top level guy in Vanes, he was in a close fight that could've gone either way.

I do rate the Charlos but right now they haven't done enough to warrant the hype they're getting.
