Davis is still developing, hasn't reached his peak and full potential. There is evidence that Lomachenko is the best in history, so in order to test his historic greatness he needs to fight absolute tops (think Mayweather, Whitaker, Leonard). So it's in boxing fans interest, if we want to witness history, to wait for Davis to develop and be at his absolute best when facing Loma.

Why can't a fighter fight a risky fight unless they are in their prime? I don't understand this obsession with the 0. Fight Loma, if you lose, regroup and reflect and then improve upon that. The bar has been set so low with regards to recent performances against Loma, that if tank even just won a few rounds and didn't quit his reputation would go up considerably.

It's a better path for Tank! You don't rush your fighters for short-term money! You develop them to be long-term champions! Let Tank clean out 130! He's only 22! He should stay @ 130 for Farmer and Berchelt, then move up to 135 for Loma or Mikey, whoever gives the most money! If Loma goes to Pacquiao, go to Mikey! If Mikey goes to Linares, go to Loma!

In this particular case it looks like ruining talent. After fighting Loma something happens to his opponents psyche, it's like their mind is traumatized. Nobody heard of Walters, Rigondeaux since their fights. Russel Jr. gone crazy, running around spreading nonsense and insulting Loma. So it wouldn't be easy to regroup and Davis would never reach his true potential if he fights Loma early.

well, i'm still proud of cuellar. at least he fought on unlike narvaez, who didn't even throw a meaningful punch the entire night.

Lomachenko would destroy him! He would use that fancy footwork. Then, Davis would be dazzled by flashes of hand speed and combinations with pinpoint accuracy. He’ll take a loss! GUARANTEED!!

But 15 mins after the fight they mention and show viewers the 2 belts at 126 as super and regular title holders. Tank is not the real champ phuk what the wba says.

Beating a small cuellar who just moved up from 126 coming off a loss and 16 months inactivity don't fool real fans especially when you already have a wba champ his name is machado.
well at least real boxing fans like us know bs when we see it peace!!😎
