Kovalev is weak in the presence of a fighter who refuses to lose... Ward showed ZERO intimidation and in fight 2 beat the dog **** out of him. Kovalev would say something and then turn around and leave like a puzzy, Andre would step right back up and just calmly wait, Sergay? Yep, gone by then.

If I was Kovalev I'd be shocked Alvarez is fighting anyone real finally. So yea they may shock him, but idk if that translates into a L necessarily. Although that said if you are gonna beat Kovalev now is the time.

How good is Alvarez's chin ? I got Kov winning but still dont know if it will be by KO or Decision. Both of their fights with Pascal told me if Kov still has it he should handle him. Respect for taking out Stevensons hard work as well.

I really like this fight. I still lean toward Kova but it’s not a gimme.
For starters, I haven’t been impressed with him since round 5 of Ward I. Even though he’s scored two KO wins after the rematch, he looks a little fragile, mentally and physically.
Alvarez doesn’t have concussive power, but you don’t want him hitting you too many times either. He’s fundamentally sound, throws to the head and body well, and seems durable. He took some flush shots against Pascal and didn’t budge. Sure, Pascal was faded but his punches looked like they carried pop.
But Kova’s power is an entirely different realm. And if Alvarez takes those kind of flush shots from him, he’s in a world of trouble. However, if the fight goes deep into the later rounds, watch out.

As for the rest, Ward definitely hits harder than Alvarez. The problem is he plays it safe, and bores you to death. He is a great technician, but has never understood he is in the entertainment business. Plus he's an arrogant biggot with a HUGE chip on his shoulder who thinks the world is against him while getting huge paydays...Last edited by steeve steel; 04-22-2018, 09:00 AM.
