Could spence beat Hurd @154?

Hurd has an excellent chin. The thing Spence would do to him, that nobody seems to do, is work that lanky ass body. I guess since Hurd is there to be hit, guys fall in love with attacking him upstairs. Obviously that hasn't been working. I'd love to see someone beat up Hurd to the body, and let's see if he continues to get stronger as the fight goes on...

You seem to forget Hurd punches back regardless of him getting tagged. This ain't a Lamont Peterson that stood infront of Spence as a punching bag.

I understand Hurd punches back. What I'm saying is that the dude has a granite chin, and attacking him upstairs obviously doesn't work.

I've never seen anybody go at Hurd with a consistent body attack, and I think that's the key to slowing any fighter down...constant contact downstairs. We know Spence does that well, and I think that gives him a shot.



I'd also like to see Errol, and everybody else, involved in VADA CBP. His excuses up to this point have been weak.

But when it's brought up, he's on some nonchalant, "I didn't have to do it, going for the IBF," stuff. I don't think he realizes it gives the people who don't like him, ammunition. He'd serve himself well by enrolling.

I don't think so, it's a really tough style for him. He is seek and destroy, for sure he can box a bit, and he does box in most his fights, that is a credit to his versatility. But he isn't a pure boxer, his foundations and balance are of a fighter more suited to fighting moving forward. I think he would have his moments, but Hurd would stop him late after a war.

I know what I've said won't be popular, and it's not what people want to hear because Spence is seen as a star, but I believe it's the truth (No pun intended).

If he did pull that kind of win off, I would be seriously impressed, the only way I could see is if he could slow Hurd down with body shots.

he's not fast at all.

he was getting hit but his style allows it, he wasn't getting beat as badly as you are stating, brrok gassed due to body shots
