He didn�t duck Alvarez , Jack is a bigger better fight then Alvarez , Showtime didn�t even want Stevenson / Alvarez and neither did the fans because while Alvarez may be legit he has no buzz , why would he pick him

Alvarez was more then happy to take step aside $ for years so some of the blame should fall on him and his team

Everything seemed to work out for everyone involved , STEVENSON-JACK gets made ( waiting on the official announcement) and Alvarez gets his shot at a strap against Kovalev

I liked Stevenson at first but he turned out to be a fraud. He's got some power and a bit of talent but just wouldn't put it to use. At some point, I had to stop defending him and call a duck a duck. When you rematch Fonfara over your long time mando, it's clear what's up.

it's like the one thing most people on boxingscene can agree on. Everything else is hotly contested but stevenson's pissed away career & epic string of high profile ducks is a common ground.

I think Stevenson is entertaining to watch & on his best day can probably beat everyone in the division, but I can't wait for him to be gone or to lose so this division can get sorted out. He's a bare minimum type champion. Has ZERO desire to chase greatness or his best self in the ring vs the best guys. And thats not even talking exclusively Kovalev. There were plenty of other top guys to fight while he chose subpar title defenses.

Ducking and ignoring are different. Nobody is scared of Alvarez who is a fringe contender level fighter at best.

I'm not Alvarez Its been confirmed in Journal de montr�al a french newspapers Stevenson simply never wanted to sign to fight Jack if Alvarez was the next opponent.

People saying alvarez is a waste of time for Stevenson but think it's ok for him to fight bika, karpency, williams it ,etc...
