As things currently stand, the next Premier Boxing Champions TV deal (outside of the already expanded commitment from Showtime/CBS for the top end fights) is most likely to be with Fox Sports (4-6 shows in primetime on FOX, 'Toe to Toe Tuesday'/PBC on FS1 basically every other week for 25-30 shows) or something similar with Turner Sports (6-10 shows on TNT, 20-30 shows on TruTV).

What happens to FOX/FS1 has direct implications for the options possible for the next PBC deal (ie Fox purchasing the WWE would close that path, while also forcing NBC/NBCSN into the market for live content).

Fox ending up with a UFC deal that leaves them with fewer dates would seem to open the door for more PBC dates to fill the hole (folks can argue all they want, combat sports are combat sports; there's more overlap than folks here want to admit).

PBC and FOX/FS1 linking in a partnership has everything to do with boxing, and this is simply part of the next step to see what's going to happen.

      -FOX/FS1 continues with less UFC
      (How much less is unsure)

No update on the movement of the WWE deal, but if WWE/USA happens and gets settled, it clears the path for the 2nd generation PBC deal to happen on FOX/FS1 (the same 4 FOX dates, with the FS1 calendar expanding by however many dates that UFC shifts to ESPN, except now all paid for).

5/17/2018 almost one month later seems pretty accurate.

Not really; simply pointing out folks who may be in the market for content. Turner Sports (TNT/TruTV as the platform)like hasen looking for content for some time now. The hangup with pushing that is HBO being under the same umbrella and not really knowing how HBO's opinion of Haymon affects the opinion at Turner.

Folks need to find their dance partners, and those without them will keep looking. Viacom is with Bellator FC, ESPN has made a sizable move with the UFC content deal and is dabbling in boxing, NBCUniversal has the WWE, Showtime has boxing, Fox Sports is jumping in with combat sports, HBO is with Canelo Promotions, and then you have some folks looking to get into the space on the right deal (Turner, Hulu/Amazon/YouTube, DAZN, etc)

Oh ok I see what you mean. Man I think me and you are the only ones who see this tv deal coming on this website. The worst part about that is everyone should be talking about boxing currently negotiating with tv networks

A lot of moving parts still, tbh.

Still, PBC has shown enough over the last three years to be a viable sports property (even with Showtime/CBS getting the premium fights); only question is where things end up

Fox just bought smackdown for 205 million dollars for five years. Interesting note moving smackdown to Friday nights instead of keeping in on Tuesday.

Maybe making room for PBC's toe to toe Tuesdays?

Fox and WWE Close to Massive Five-Year, $1 Billion Deal for 'SmackDown'

And sources close to that deal have told THR that Fox is willing to pay about $175 million annually for the MMA promotion.
