You can hate him for what he did, you can say that he wouldn't have been that good at the end but no one can deny the talent he had, many champions sparred with him and everyone seems to have a deep respect for his boxing ability, he was really good but he was a turbulent person since the beginning.
Valero died 8 years ago today

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe anything that you've written about the Floyd/Wright fight-no offense seriously.uh they negotiated the entire fight. floyd CHANGED THE MONEY a common theme as you will see.
"As of right now, it's no deal - they changed the money on me at the last second," said promoter Gary Shaw, who said he was close to finalizing the fight when he walked into Top Rank and Bob Arum's office Thursday.
The day before, Shaw said he and Arum had agreed to a 50-50 purse split as well as other requests from Mayweather's camp. He added that Wright adviser Jim Wilkes and Don King, who has an option on Wright's next fight, agreed as well.
Mayweather's camp requested a morning-of-the-fight weigh-in. That included a stipulation that Wright couldn't go more than eight pounds above the limit.
CHANGED THE MONEY you will see the same thing happen with pac just over a longer period of time.
so floyd changed the money because pac took a year to agree to full testing? to go from 50-50 to pac gets zero ppv revenue when he agreed makes no sense. oh he agreed its fight time! would be how someone acting like floyd should act since he said he wanted the fight so bad. floyd did the opposite. oh he agreed its time to CHANGE THE MONEY! and he did the same thing with winky as i just showed.
he knows how to kill fights. you still seem to be focusing on fantasy what if's when we have what happened right in front of us. pac agreed and floyd changed the money. you are still going on and on about what if pac agreed like you don't know what happened. its mind bobbling!
Now you could be right...Arum and Shaw could've talked about a possible fight amongst themselves(at what weight I have no clue), but they were never going to fight.
And no, money didn't change. Wright was never getting 50/50 from Floyd ever, lmao.
If memory serves...Floyd was just talking **** when he said that he wanted to fight Winky. I don't remember serious talks about this fight being made.
Money never changed with Floyd Pac either. Pac went from a 50/50 fight to losing and then being tossed a sorry ass flat fee of 40 mil and then getting paid what 60-40 I believe-correct me if I'm wrong.Comment

******* makes u kinda paranoid, he always had minor brain damage from the bike accident. He was never really cleared to fight only in Texas. I was sad when he died, I have a sparring session on dvd with him and morales. Good lil spar bro. Valero dropped pac in sparring rumor anywaysComment

I'm a huge Valero fan, I loved his style, his intensity and how he fought, I believe he had greatness in him. Of all of the fighters who didn't get to have the career they MAY have been destined for, he's the One I wish we could of seen more of, the most.
His trigger was so unconscious. He let his hands go so easily, guy had no fear.
If you never boxed before you don't understand how hard it is t have a fearless trigger. The only guys who had a trigger as quick as his since I've watched boxing, are pac, morales, Barrera, Loma, choco.
A quick trigger is probably the most underrated aspect of boxing. Can't teach that. Valero had that, dude was fearless.
Freddy roach is probably the only trainer I've seen who stresses a quick trigger when preparing a fighter or scout A fighter.Last edited by AddiX; 04-19-2018, 11:05 PM.Comment

Will never know exactly what happened, there are a lot of speculation that he was murdered and not committed suicide.
But later he started to show some signs that he is not mentally good. Still.. will never know what triggered those metal things and his jealousy bout his wife etc.
The Pacquiao fight would have been fireworksComment

People for some reason is painting Valero as a mindless face first brawler when the guy was very technical on his pressure, except the fact that he lets his hands go all too easily and overwhelms people.
People forget that Valero was the KEY for Morales on beating a brawler Pacquiao by replicating his fighting style and it worked out perfectly for Erik Morales.Comment
