Have the judges input their score after each round so the fighters know what they have to do to win. Also, this would take away on some of the scandals and produce better decisions.
Why not display the round scores on a scoreboard like other sports?

They experimented with that in the early 80's and nothing was done with it.
I like the way that it is. If a fighter knows that he is ahead he will coast for the rest of the fight putting himself in little or no danger until the final bell rings.
Its been done like this for 100 years, I see no need to change it. I find that the rendering of the decisions is a climactic end to a fight. Sure some are bogus and seem unjust, but I like it the way that it is.

While the idea is flawed, just because it's been done this way for a century now doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed. Judging has to be amended and changed for the better as one of the many steps to fix boxing. I'm not suggesting displaying the score, but an overhaul of the system in general. BUt this is merely rambling and stream of consciousness at the moment, so feel free to ignore it.Originally posted by Rockin1They experimented with that in the early 80's and nothing was done with it.

Thats why The Association of Boxing Commisions was designed. To have each judge and referee tested and evaluated throughout their careers. The ABC is a non biased organization built on the truth. If a fighter deserves to win then they will. Everybody has their own opinions about last nights bout, I saw it as as an even bout, maybe winky by a point. Either way, the ABC is dedicated to honesty and integrity and keeping the game on the up and up. No longer will promoters have a say in who judges the fights. I am proud to be certified with the ABC, as a referee and believe in everything that they stand for.Originally posted by Dirt E GomezWhile the idea is flawed, just because it's been done this way for a century now doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed. THe problem isn't the judges or the Ref (usually), but merely the scoring system which is used to judge fights. It is in bad need of an overhaul and guidelines so judges should be much more in agreement as to why a fighter wins a round.Comment

james toney vs haseem rahman is perfect example ...rahman lands over 50 illegal shots with 1 warning... on more then one occasion he ramed his elbow right into toneys throagt with one of the occasions where the ref has to litrally pry haseem off toney...
the **** is fixed ...nobody would go into the final round and just throw the ****ing round away ....fighters dont do that ..esspessially ones that have been waiting for there break through chance... winky knew what his place was last nightComment
