In a parallel universe, GGG fights Derevyanchenko instead of Vanes and...

and the reaction from the usual crowd would be:

Choosing this Russian prospect over a very game Vanes who arguably beat Jermell Charlo, dropped Andrade and had a very contested draw with Lara. Usual Golovkin.
    Or not?

    They always complain about something

It wouldn’t be to that extent because Devechenko is a better option then Vanes at this point but the goal posts would still be moved

it be why didn’t he face Andrade, Devechenko has 12 fights , he just fought a guy with 22 losses

They'd say he's an untested prospect who's best win is an ancient Sam Solomon.

So what he beat a guy who was 12-0 and hadn't fought anyone. And it would be the truth.

It's not just the "usual crowd" who are disappointed with this move

Golovkin exposed himself with this move.

Picked a weak opponent when his mandatory was willing = What he and his fans accused others of.

Risks losing a title for this cherry pick = All the belts his dream though

Pulls up yet another fighter from a lower weight, a fighter that's been inactive for two years and hasn't won a fight in 3.

He'd have been criticized for fighting Devreychenko. I remember suggesting Devreychenko was good a couple months ago and the usual folks the ones who are saying he's great now were saying he's garbage.

He's a good fighter and once he wins a title and GGG has gotten Vanes out the way they will go back to saying he sucks because he's a white guy from Eastern Europe.

                I know how it is.

Guys, stop lying about what would be said to justify your position on this fight.

Vanes is not a worthy opponent and you all know it. Be honest boxing fans and admit it.

It's fine if you guys want to see GGG get an easy KO win because Canelo cheated. That is understandable.

What isn't is the way you guys are going out of your way to highlight the positives to try and sell him as a decent opponent. You guys don't work for GGG nor are you guys his concubines or personal cum receptacles.

Devreychenko satisfies a mando, prevents the IBF from stripping GGG, and gives us as fans a decent fight on what has become one of the 2 biggest "fight" weekends we as fans look forward to.

As the A side it would be nice if he gave us at least a competitive fight instead of Vanes. He instead decided to take the easy fight to make sure he wins and not ruin a chance to fight Canelo again.

Understandable move. Floyd did that with Berto. Other fighters have done it. How about you guys just admit it rather than the fake pity party about what might be said.

                  .
