According to ESPN, Japanese 130 lb fighter, Ogawa, was fined for having a banned substance in his system, which he didn’t knowingly ingest, but admits it was in his system, prefight vs Tevin Farmer, and both A and B samples were negative post fight. Anyhow he was fined and REQUIRED TO UNDERGO YEAR ROUND and VIGOROUS TESTING, at HIS OWN EXPENSE, if he is to ever fight in NEVADA again.
Ogawa, had his hearing directly after Canelo. Why are they not requiring Canelo to do the same thing????? Sounds awfully su****ious to me.

You're correct. It would behoove Canelo to jump in front of this and do the right thing. He should be under random blood and urine from now until his September 15 fight.

That's how you win over SOME people and get SOME fan sentiment back. Atleast, that's a start.

golden boy wasted no time in putting out a press release stating that Canelo would be fighting on the Sept Mexican holiday weekend. Wouldn't that have been the perfect time to also include, he will be enrolled in testing immediately leading up to that fight to prove that he is a clean fighter? Imo, right after that hearing was done, they should've announced that they'd enroll in year round testing as a show of good faith. Especially since his punishment was pretty leniant.

Yes your absolutely correct! I totally agree with you! I told you a few weeks ago he definitely needs to enroll in VADA testing year round.
But damn, let's wait a few days to see what he'll do.
Maybe he's asking questions and trying to educate himself on how it all works. You know like what he can and can't consume as far as supplements, vitamins, liquids, You know things like that. I don't really know. I'm just saying let's wait a few days to see what Canelo and his team will do.

They are both multi millionaires and they have their money well invested and I don't see neither of them going broke anytime soon so they gotta be doing something right....
All I'm saying is deep down both Oscar, Canelo, and even Eric Gomez all know what needs to be done. They know that in order to save face and keep Canelo's career at a high level then he needs to enroll in VADA testing. I'm sure they know that.
So let's give them a few days before people start talking shet, wouldn't you agree??
