I have no problem with this fight. It was short notice and chances of getting a big name were slim. I'll give Triple G a pass on this one since his last two fights have been Jacobs and Canelo back to back. He will be fighting a big fight in the fall, so I don't mind Vanes Martirosyan as a fill in.

Did you give him a pass for the 1st 36 opponents he fought before he lost to Jacobs & Nelo??

The only reason I'm OK with this is because of the circumstances surrounding this fight. The best thing for Golovkin at 36 is to stay active. Forget Canelo and move on. The Canelo rematch will likely happen but it sucks that it's going to affect Golovkin negatively. He should stay busy and look towards unifying against Saunders in the Fall. He'd beat Hopkin's record for middleweight defenses and become undisputed. Kill two birds with one stone.
