    WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has made it clear that the upcoming clash between Jermall Charlo and Hugo Centeno, this Saturday at Barclays Center in New York, will earn a mandatory crack at the WBC middleweight crown, which is currently held by Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs).

        Exactly. Plus, his WBC chance will have to wait til after the IBF and the WBA get their mandatories out the way. That will easily be a year. Plus, possibility of a WBO unification as well.

            This is old news. The IBF and WBC have manditories and how about the WBA and IBF who have they got lined up? LOL.. How do they settle who fights Golovkin first?

                They take turns. It's the IBF turn next, then it's WBA, then it's WBC again. (assuming no unifications involved)

                  Jesus a fighter could spend his whole career just fighting manditories. Sucks if they don't bring in any real money. Looking more and more that the Saunders fight is going to happen next if Canelo is out for a year.

                    Definitely could spend a whole career fighting mandatories. In fact, there have been boxers that will go years without even facing their mandatories (Adonis Stevenson for example).
