If you follow Pac's career. In between rounds you'll see that it's actually Buboy who is giving him advices in the ring. Roach talks and Buboy also talks. Sometimes to translate Roach words, sometimes it's really Buboy who was giving him advice. And most of the time Pac gets it, coz Buboy is speaking in his native tongue.
People don't get that Buboy has been on Pac's side since day one. Pac listens to him and trust his opinion through the years. Buboy dissected Cotto's game and gave a sound advice to Pac as a true friend and confidant. Buboy and Nonoy Neri are 2 of Pac's best friends that have been there from day one. Even before Roach, Pac was champion because of these 2 by his side. But unfortunately, it was always Roach since he is the head coach who gets the glory.
These 2 have a sound knowledge of the game, if you look at practice video footage in Roach's wildcard gym. It's Buboy and Neri giving advices on how to box in the ring, constantly. Roach is mostly silent and have no idea what Buboy and Neri are teaching him. This is Asian knowledge not being understood by Roach. But it's there.
These 2 are the unsung heroes of Pac's entourage. They have been there through the years. Battle tested and true loyal confidants that Pac can rely on. They are more than enough. Pac is a Vet. There is no more knowledge Roach can instill in Pac.

Yeah. That padwork is HORRID. I have seen Roach and Manny on the pads live at Wildcard (right before the Hatton fight) and it sounded like somebody was shooting an assault rifle. Manny must really be fed up with old Freddie..Comment
