I would be fine with that. Thurman has tied up 147 for too long. His health problems shouldn't become the problems of every top welterweight who wants a chance to become a champion. I think holding the title for one year for the champion to heal is reasonable but Thurman has been out way past a year and doesn't even plan to fight a top 10 contender when he does returns. Give Thurman a fight with the winner of Porter vs Garcia if Thurman is finally fit to fight by then.

I'd be surprised if the WBC would vacant from a cat like Thurman. They'd probably merely make him fight the winner of Porter vs Garcia in a rematch which seems like the current plan.

I dont think they should strip Thurman but i do think that now that he is out injured either Garcia or Portman should try get a Spence fight.
He is the other guy with a belt so their shouldnt be any excuses from these two.
Surely they would want a world title fight instead of waiting on Thurman for god knows how long.

This kind of thing ruins boxing. Guys go through their prime years fighting 4 times. It's ridiculous that we put up with this. And Thurman is just the most recent problem-child.
