IMO, this myth is part of boxings problem.

That market is still there, but it needs to be catered to just like the other ones that HBO (‘Mexican Style’/Eastern European heavy) and the Like has invested time in.

Gotta love some of these ‘fans’. Initially they complained about how hard it was to keep up with all this boxing PBC was bringing to TV, then a year or two into it they complain because fighters are too ‘inactive’.

The same fans who b!tched and complained from day one about everything PBC related from scheduling to purses black ring mats to Haymon ‘taking over’ boxing to (my personal favorite) not seeing the ring girls now want to offer they’re ‘critique’ on PBCs ‘failure’.

      Shortsightedness at its essence.
It’s cool. Looks like they’re going to have a pretty good next few weeks as well with another FOX show, another FS1 show, another show on Bounce, and several on SHOWTIME. But they’re dying. Sheesh, what then do you say about everyone else? Looking forward to next year’s annual PBC is Dead thread.

Boxing is a top three sport in african-american households.

              Compared to what though?

These were the only notable fights this year so far let me know if I missed one:

              Murat Gassiev - Yunier Dorticos
George Groves - Chris Eubank Jr.
Srisaket Rungvisai - Juan Francisco Estrada
              Dmitry Bivol* - Sullivan Barrera
              Anthony Joshua - Joseph Parker

Top Rank aside from the PBC are the only ones with good fights on the schedule this year (to bad you will need a subscription for the good ones).
              Vasyl Lomachenko - Jorge Linares
              Terence Crawford - Jeff Horn
              Manny Pacquiao - Lucas Matthysse

Doesnt have to be compared to anything. Trash is trash. Being on a particular promotion doesnt make it any better. I dont care who promotes what. A good fight is a good fight. I purchase product from all promtional companies as long as its good.

Too early to draw comparisons in 2018. How about 2017? Or 2016?

No we all get the point of the thread. It's just funny to see you try and pretend this thread is designed to have an intelligent discussion about PBC failing or being unsuccessful.

overpaying for fighters nobody watches...they tried the monopoly playbook of needing no profit as long as they had investors and failed...
