Butler is fighting Rodriguez for the IBF on May 5th, don't see the winner of that having a problem in joining. Burnett, Tete and Inoue have been said to be involved. WBC is vacant, should be Chitpattana vs Oubaali, don't see the winner of that not being involved.

Not really any promoter issues, 140 is riddled with promoter issues.

decent divisions. you have to take into account that they won't do a tournament in divisions that are problematic due to boxing politics.

after Crawford unified 140 and left the division, many players want to establish themselves as the new leader and none of those guys are household names which makes it more easy to entice them to participate in the tournament.
Ramirez, prograis, baranchyk, Garcia, postol, relikh, Taylor, lipinets and troyanowsky is a good line-up.

118 is decent. Burnett, payano, zhakayinov, inoue, tete and Rodriguez fighting against each other are quality fights.

my favourite division for the tournament would have been 175 though.

kovalev, stevenson, bivol, gvozdyk, beterbiev, Barrera, Alvarez and Jack would be crazy.

Well only 1 of 16 contenders in the first 2 tournaments were American, so not much would change.

Yeah 140 looks good, but are Arum and Haymon going to let their fighters in, don't see it. Take them out and it starts to go downhill quick

I don't hate 140. 140 is wide open & lotsa fights there to get made & potentially be fun to watch.
