Spence is alive today, but he's really from a different era, when fighters didnt party and had iron discipline and took their craft seriously. He's an example of what happens when u forge your will and body through constant training and no bad habits outside the ring. Imagine the old timers who trained this way but fought every week or two. They would run a lot of todays fighters out of the ring. Guys like sandy saddler, ike williams, percy bassett, wesley mouzon, bob Montgomery, ezzard charles, harold johnson, archie moore, bert lytell, lloyd marshall, jake lamotta, basilio, fullmer, robinson, burley, eddie Booker, jack chase, holman williams, aaron tiger wade, etc. Guys like these were killers, and much avoided in their day, like spence is today

Without doubt Spence is the most avoided fighter in the world today. Him or Crawford will the be just about number 1 on everyone’s pound for pound list soon.

Its because he pays them too well. Don't get me wrong, thats the job of a manager or a promoter(to get the fighter the most money possible) but because of that, they are probably less inclined to fight more active. It's like "Hey, if i can make this much in one fight once a year fighting less risky competition, why would I need to be more active?" Thankfully there are still fighters out there that despite an opponent being a super tough match up for them, they still want to test themselves. Donaire vs Rigondeaux being the best example.

Spencer should go the GGG route. Have a boogyman status and fight all comers. Since he has a belt already, he's got leverage to where at some point the more notable nights will have to fight him at some point.

This is just plain sad. What has boxing come to when fighters under the same banner can't face one another?! Spence is cursed by his greatness and the cowards are nowhere to be found!!! Even tho Brook "quit" I have more and more respect for him than almost any fighter at welterweight.

Errol laid it out nice. If Garcia took takes a beating the way Peterson did his career is finished. Errol will beat the ‘prime’ out of these guys.
