  • Does anyone feel this can be a good rematch? I feel Jamal won this one but Ramos ain't no pushover and he certainly gave Jamal a great fight

    • 3rd good win in a row for James, would be interested in seeing him against Devon Alexander or Lamont Peterson. Think those are fun, interesting fights, especially the Peterson fight

I'd rather see James rematch Wale Omotose who beat him comfortably but got robbed on the cards

I never saw that fight but I trust you know what you are talking about.

Maybe a rematch isn't necessary considering I do feel Jamal won for sure. Ramos did do extremely well though!

Jamal James didn't score the knockout he sought Friday night. Otherwise, though, his hometown showcase went pretty well. James mostly out-boxed Abel Ramos, entertained a supportive crowd and fended off Ramos' late rally to win a majority decision in their 10-round welterweight fight. Two of the three judges scored the fight for James in the main event of an FS1 telecast from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dude James is pretty weak throws nothing but arm punches and all around just very average, had Ramos picked it up earlier he could have edged it or possibly even stop him.

James is not elite simple as that.

                • James has showed that he clearly does not have any business fighting the elite of the division. He doesn't belong there and never will.

                  • 2 me it was not worth watching any of the batch that showed virtually note town or any possibility of anyone on the card going forward to capture a title within the next couple of years... limited Club fighters that's what they all were or less...

I agree, I've never seen James as anywhere near elite. He got handled by Ugas and got a gift against Omotoso. With that being said, he's won 3 fights in a row against, at least solid opposition. Would seem it's time to move him up and see what happens. A fight against Alexander in Chicago with some Polish dudes on the card would probably sell well and propel the winner to or near a title shot
