Agreed, I’ve met Price personally numerous times and he’s a lovely fella but he should NOT be fighting anymore especially against dangerous fighters like Povetkin. That fight was a disgraceful exploitation of Price to promote AJ’s mandatory.
I seriously hope the genuine people around him tell him enough is enough, instead of shamelessly promoting mismatches like the Povetkin fight, which is exactly what his supposed “best friend” Tony Bellew did. Disgraceful.

bad choice pricey not good enough at world level mid tier at best in euro level

he could make a career as a domestic gatekeeper bit like a john mcdermott type but with his power most promoters wont risk putting their green fighters in with him he should retire and try make a career out of being a pundit somewhere I would rather have him on sky than that deluded clown amir khan

OK, I'm gonna be serious for 1 second. Price showed way more heart and confidence against Povetkin than I had seen from him since before his first loss to Thompson. Everything he's saying here is encouraging. I think Price might actually have a nice run in him coming up as long as he isn't in with huge punchers. The gas tank will seemingly always be an issue, but I think Price can reinvent himself as an aggressive, power punching monster that comes to get guys out of there in the first 4 rounds.

I hope he comes out to that wild west music in every fight and starts being introduced as David "The Gunslinger" Price. Hell, come out to the ring riding a burro, dressed head to toe like Clint Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Would love to see his next 5 fights be Gjergjaj, De Mori, Pianeta, Browne and Dimitrenko! #WarPrice4Ever

It is bad that I immediately started laughing once I read the title?

Whilst I admire Price I feel (and I'd hope most people would be in agreement) that his handlers, team, family & friends all encourage him to bow out now. Repeated KO's are not healthy and ultimately it will be his wife/children that must deal with aftermath. He needs to realize that the fans aren't going to be there for him when his career is over.

Get your trainers license or open a gym, hell even be a sparring partner if you are that short of money but he should avoid climbing through the ropes regardless of his love for it as it is the hurt business and he just isn't up to it physically.

I'd fear for him even at British level. Guys like Gorman and Dubois would KO him I believe.

Hughie Fury would be a good opponent for Price, less chance of a bad ko, but I believe he'd get totally outboxed.

Price - "If a fighter quits just because they get knocked out, are they really a fighter? Getting knocked out is part of boxing and you have to accept that."

That's very true BUT boxing is also a dangerous sport and when you've been KO'd five times (a couple of them been quite brutal) maybe it's time to start thinking about life after boxing. Price feels his fight against Povetkin is evidence that he can compete with elite level fighters. I respectfully disagree, yes he had a couple of good moments but it was nothing in that performance that would make anyone think Price can truly hang with the best. I wish him the best but Price is not built for this game.

Yes, getting knocked out is part of boxing, but Price hammered to the mat is always bad to watch.
