So what does it matter if you fight May 5 or June 15? Just move the date and get a better opponent and more time to properly promote it. Canelo isn't forcing Golovkin to fight a bum on May 5. Nobody is forcing Golovkin to fight May 5. Golovkin sees an opportunity where he can get a pass to fight a bum, he's not fooling anyone other than fools.
