Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez: Fans Clamoring To See Golovkin Fight Somebody

Gennady Golovkin is growing frustrated with boxing's sanctioning bodies while he struggles to find a replacement opponent for Canelo Alvarez on May 5. Golovkin and his promoter and trainer appeared in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday to announce they still haven't found a suitable replacement, and time is running out.

, he wants the organizations to move aside so he can fight literally anybody( O'sullivan) time for Golovkin to fight Serg or give up that strap. He's starting to look a lot like old man Martinez with these peculiar late career decisions.

Unify with Saunders and move up.

The fight has been offered by Frank Warren (backed by BT Sport) for June in the UK.

Golovkin has 3/4 fights left imo and doesn't need to waste time with Vanes/Spike.

Yeah, no. We wanted to see him fight top opponents in his prime. You and all the duckers out there didn't deliver. Then, we wanted to see him fight top opponents as soon as possible, before he declined completely, but instead of seizing the moment and realizing the urgency, you wasted three more years of his career chasing Canelo, except you didn't even have the intelligence to demand Canelo do 365 drug testing in the first place, which caused GGG to struggle in the first fight requiring a rematch, which is now the excuse you use to delay GGG's career even more.

I have zero interest in watching GGG fight Vanes Martirosan. What a meaningless, bull**** fight. He's not even a middleweight. And he has no power at 154 let alone 160. Not interested!

Who wants to see GGG fight a mediocre substitute in three weeks?
