OK. Given the lack of decent fights out of the US or Europe this weekend, we were going to leave doing a Pick 'em this week, but then it was came to my attention that there is in fact two world title fights in Japan on Sunday.
Sunday 15, April 2018
Arena, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan
promoter Teiken Promotions - Akihiko Honda
World Boxing Council World Flyweight Title
Daigo Higa 15 0 0 vs Cristofer Rosales 26 3 0
World Boxing Association World Middleweight Title
Ryota Murata 13 1 0 vs Emanuele Felice Blandamura 27 2 0
The Murata fight ain't really an issue, cos it's a secondary title and Blandamura ain't really anyone's idea of a quality opponent, however the Flyweight match-up is for the WBC title and matches the recognised #2 in the division with a top 10 opponent. My thinking is that if this fight had been in a different division and a different time zone we would have had no hesitation in including it as a pick 'em.... It may not be to everyone's taste, but if we really are boxing fans, perhaps we should give it a go?
Just been watching Daigo boy does this guy come to fight.
I see him taking out Rosales by mid rnd KO.
Very fast, very strong.
It's too much to include every single title fight. It's like doing a soccer pick em' with all international soccer teams instead of just choosing specific leagues like La Liga or the EPL. I think we're better suited to fights that would interest the majority of the players which is mostly title fights and fights with contenders and important step up fights.
Balls. Forgot to include a poll and ain't got time to sort it out now... just leave comments. Higa - Rosales yes/no and reasons if you like.
Thanks
K
I think a pick ‘em would be great for Higa-Rosales, most of us hardcore fans have seen them fight multiple times and it’s a much more legit fight than Williams-Gallimore, Whyte-Browne which were previous pick ‘em’s

This is a title fight though.
Its for the WBC flyweight world title.
Just cause their abit unknown to this forum and the mainstream. It shouldnt de-value what it is.

I understand that it's not fair, but boxing is the most unfair sport around, lol. I just think it's hard to keep track of all ≈ 68 titles (old and new champs). But whatever it is, I'll roll with the punches.
I say skip this one . Mainly because of the intended " Last minute " attempt to add it . Plus , I bet half if not more playing the Pick 'em never heard of them . I got Higa KO 5 - 8 though . Just in case.
Does anyone have the odds for this fight?
Looking at Daigo has a 100% k/o in his last 15 fights.
Should be a interesting fight.
Daigo is the hot favourite here... I think you can get 11/2 on Rosales which would qualify any successful picks on him for a 1.4x mult under the Pick 'em underdog rules.
I might as well be playing darts blind if we go with this one lol
Ha ha Youtube is your friend, man. But still I absolutely get that researching fighters you may never watch again ain't what everyone is looking for out of the pick 'em.
