    At the Palm Restaurant in Los Angeles, IBF, WBA, WBC, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) and promoter Tom Loeffler held a small, intimate gathering with the press to make what was basically a non-announcement of the May 5th date that they are still hoping to salvage.

          Vanes is a GOOD opponent! He is better than most of the guys GGG have been in there with. I will attend.

                  Vanes is a good opponent? Hasn't fought in nearly 2 years, and a Jr middleweight. I've been a big fan of GGG for several years, and I will not watch that debacle. As far as I'm concerned he is ducking Derevechenko, to assure a money fight against Canelo. Even though GBP has basically derailed his career at every opportunity. Time to move on Tom, GGG ain't getting any younger!
