What I mean by that is: They couldn't find/nor negotiate a fight with ANY OTHER fighter until the fight was either officially called off by either side or cancelled by NSAC.
Chances are, if Canelo never pulled out, they'd be even worse off considering that official suspension won't come until next Wednesday.
This entire fiasco is ugly, bad for boxing fans, and is being handled pretty poorly by Loeffler (atleast from a PR standpoint).
Had NSAC followed their own bylaws and protocols concerning PED use and first time offenders and just suspended Canelo right on the spot, they would have been able to move on from the start of camp and find a suitable opponent (which I'm sure the IBF would have ordered the Sergiy mandatory fight).
