He never said this. He said ggg needs to face sergey next.

But Lou DiBella, the promoter for Golovkin's IBF mandatory challenger, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, is pushing hard for his boxer to get his earned opportunity - and he is fuming at the idea of having his boxer wait until 2019 to fight GGG.

"[A late withdrawal] is not supposed to stop a mandatory from happening," DiBella said to the paper. "I don't understand saying that extenuating circumstances allow something different. Is the extenuating case that he doesn't want to take a risk? That's what it seems like to me."

Based on the IBF rules, says DiBella, Golovkin has to face his boxer this year.

This year could be next moth or 3 months from now. This year dosen't mean MAY 5TH.

for some reason you ignored this part:

"[Golovkin] has been training for more than a month to fight the toughest guy in the division. What is wrong with switching to another conventional, right-handed fighter who comes forward? How can he not be prepared for Sergiy Derevyanchenko? And our guy is in the gym and ready to fight. So I don't understand any argument against him," DiBella said.

GGG vs Andrade would be my pick but I don't think GGG is the one who decides who he's going to fight. Blame his team not GGG.

So unless GGG fights the guy you want him to fight he is a disgrace. I don;t think he is a disgrace at all. I think he is one of the best champions in boxing. His last two fights were hard fights against the two best middleweights in the world next to himself. He was ready for another war with Canelo. Vanes lost a very close fight to Andrade and knocked him down. There is nothing disgraceful about GGG fighting Vanes. Vanes is a hell of a lot better than the last guy Andrade fought.

there is no point in waiting 2 weeks before the date to make a horrendous fight that nobody wants while GGG is being dragged through the mud. And might lose his IBF belt in the process. If he fights Vanes he deserves all the criticism he will get. There were better opponents, he could of moved the date they had better options to handle this.

                keep reaching...
“Derevyanchenko has instructed me to do whatever needs to be done to protect his rights and to secure his IBF title shot immediately,” Connolly said. “Golovkin is looking for a fight, presumably May 5th, and Sergiy is willing and able to fight. I’m puzzled why Golovkin is saying he can’t find an opponent, when he knows he can easily set up a fight with us and get his mandatory out of the way.”
As a fellow promoter, Lou DiBella understands Tom Loeffler’s predicament. Gennady Golovkin wants to fight May 5 and Loeffler is trying his best to accommodate the unbeaten middleweight champion. At the same time, business is business. It’s DiBella’s job to protect the interests of the unbeaten contender he promotes, Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Ukraine’s Derveyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs), the mandatory challenger for Golovkin’s IBF title, wants his title shot May 5 if Golovkin indeed fights that night.

GGG fans blaming the IBF for following their rules, blaming other promoters for trying to get their fighters a title shot that they have every right to, blaming HBO for not willing to pay GGG more money to fight bums that are so bad that he is getting scorched by media and fans for trying to make, blaming Golden Boy because their fighter refused to fight basically for free... so many excuses to hide the simple truth. GGG refuses to move the date or fight a better opponent. From day 1 they were looking in the trash can for the easiest and cheapest bum they could find.

                    With 3 weeks notice?

There's plenty of excuses. He's tried everyone basically. Even Frank Warren said there was talks about BJS but he couldn't because he was injured.

What do you want him to do? Not fight because you think so?

                    GTFO with that bs.

Charlo should step up to the plate.

                      GGG must be ducking right

Most likely it's a money thing if it happens not to be him.
