A great fight! The Eastern Europeans aren't big babies and cherry pickers like most US fighters. And you'll notice the cultural morass with the majority of the cherry pickers. This is a great fight. The two of them could wipe out the entire US entourage of JMWs. With all the yapping I am not impressed with the bench at MW or the Jrs posturing out of the US. All talkers. Jacobs could beat every one of these pretenders as well.

Really? I'm not on here rooting for Khurtsidze, Beterbiev, Derevyanchenko, and Baranchyk on a regular? I wasn't on here blasting Andrade for swerving Derevyanchenko in December? Are they not "Euro" or "White" enough? I was one of the first people on here saying GGG should walk from the Canelo fight at least a month ago? But I guess that's not enough! Guys like you are just mad because I won't put GGG on the level with B-Hop, or I won't say Lomachenko deserves to be ranked above TC and Mikey Garcia yet! You see what you want to see!

GGG does NOT have to fight on May 5th! His fight was CANCELLED! He can fight Derevyanchenko on another date, so long as Derevyanchenko is next! Derevyanchenko should not have to wait for GGG to fight Canelo since we don't even know when that might be possible!

No, he doesn't have to but then he has to break camp and then start over again for a later fight. Guessing he's not looking to do that, therefore he wants to fight as scheduled.

He will fight Canelo and BJS before the IBF mandatory every gets a shot at the title. They will give him an exemption for the Canelo fight bevvause they get that nice sanctioning fee and BJS is a unification which trumps any mandatory fight.

These guys rise to number 1 without ever fighting anyone worth a damn anyway. Maybe they should fight some good opposition so they don't get embarrassed when the time comes that they do get their shot.

Just so you know Charlo was Nelo's mandatory that didn't happen....all the other guys have a right to try to get the fight they want cuz when its all said & done they will all still end up fighting each other.

Yes please. This fight and Charlo-Jacobs need to happen. Winners can then fight each other or GGG/Canelo, or each other then GGG/Canelo, or BJS. They will have a much better case to demand those fights, both on merit and financially, after those fights. But they have to fight each other first. There are too many challenges all sitting on their thumbs waiting on the same two guys, one old inactive guy, one young inactive about to be suspended guy. It makes no sense. There are way too many of them waiting on far too few dates with GGG/Canelo considering that GGG and Canelo never fight anymore, and when they do they only fight each other or some cab driver so as not to risk fights with each other.

These contenders need to thin out the herd. Then, whoever is last standing will be undeniable to GGG/Canelo. But right now, they can all be denied because they're doing even less than GGG/Canelo are, which is really saying something.

I guess CHarlo and Andrade who just arrived to 160 and only had one fight in the division.

He just fought Jacobs who destroyed Quillin and beat him.

The dilemma for Derevyanchenko is similar to GGG's start! When you're really good, not many people want to fight you, i.e. Andrade. Then he's #1 for a year, and now that there's an opportunity, he's supposed to let that slide, and then (like you just said) he'll have to wait for GGG to fight Canelo (who has no belts @ MW, and just got caught cheating) and then a unification with Saunders. That would be extra ****** on Derevyanchenko/DiBella's part! They need to force the issue with the IBF ASAP!

That's true... but only because they tried Canelo, Jacobs, Saunders, Lemieux twice, (and Derevyanchenko in Jan and February who refused because he wanted more money) and HBO realized NONE OF THEM WOULD FIGHT HIM!!! Now You can add GGG to the list.... at the end of the day they made a business decision and decided they couldn't do a damn thing with him. THATS A FACT !!! How can you expect them to keep him when nobody will step in the ring with him. Had nothing to do with Andrade himself

I used to think that too but when I looked into it deeper it became clear that Andreade brought this on himself, he consistently priced himself out and HBO said enough....that's not my opinion it's easily verifiable. I'm not questioning his motives, I don't know that.

Honestly, Andrade only made middle in July and had two fights, not enough time to be ducked by anyone.
