If Canelo can keep GGG missing and counter him what do you think Lara is gonna do?

And another fighter beating a fighter isn't a victory by proxy for GGG. Instead of all these:

If fight X beat fighter Y that means GGG would beat fighter Y

scenarios you should've wanted to see GGG fight fighter Y himself. But no, ya'll made excuse after excuse

Yeah. I was basically over that fight when Rigo turned down $700k to fight him at 126 (which was somehow interpreted as Loma/TR ducking) but then when he was up at 130 those morons still claimed Loma is hiding, will never fight Rigo, the weight doesn't matter it's all about skill etc; etc; and then Rigo accepted less money at 130 and most of those folks stuck to their guns and STILL said it was a no contest in Rigo's favor and then some of them quit the board, some of them had meltdowns (Mirko) and some of them just came up with a bunch of excuses and accusations of which they knew of BEFORE the fight.

Anyway back to your point yes GGG would have beaten him and yes he'd have been ridiculed. He'd be ridiculed if he beat Joshua and Wilder on the same night.

I do think Lara gives him problems early though but we've got to remember Lara was life and death with Angulo, got a bit of a lucky decision with Molina and had a fair draw with Vanes (fight I). That's not the guy that's moving up and beating GGG.

Who's y'all? I wanted to see this fight years ago and still do. I made the thread because a bunch of ppl are using the Hurd fight as proof Lara would've been smoked by GGG at 160. that's all. The same thing happened with the Angulo fight, they figured since Angulo gave him hell and dropped him than he has no chance against GGG. I don't agree with triangle theories either but its an interesting debate.

Ok. I thought you agreed with the triangle theory because you made the topic.

Golovkin doesn't have the endless stamina Hurd does. Lara can fight a well schooled guy like Golovkin but Hurd was probably nothing he really came across even with his deep amateur background.

But who knows? I'd lean towards GGG winning a close one.

Where do you come up with this stamina nonsense? It was GGG who triumphantly raised his hands and walked back to his corner after the Jacob's fight. It was Danny who literally collapsed on the ropes from exhaustion. Not sure where all this sudden hype of Hurd is coming from. He squeaked out a win over an aging Lara who was considerably smaller.

I was going to same something similar. Though Golovkin's numbers have dropped these last couple fights, his stamina is still amazing for a fighter his age. If this was the Golovkin of several years ago, there would be no question about his stamina. Golovkin threw almost as much punches as Hurd did in 12 rounds without reaching the end of his own fights several times (assuming his punch count didn't drop). Golovkin has/had amazing output for a MW in the years passed.

His stamina is good. All I'm saying.

lara would have given golovkin problems and his people knew it...which is why they never called him....lara was a known name that had headlined many cards on premium and regular cable...and was also rated #1 in the division just south of golovkin(golovkin has no problem fighting others from that division or below it even)....it was so blatant sanchez actually said monroe was a bigger name lol......thats how you know how full of **** these guys are

Lara spent years calling for it. Even willing to move up to the full 160 limit.

Is this fight against Hurd definitive proof that Lara would've been smoked by GGG at 160? or is this fight irrelevant in determining a GGG / Lara winner at 160?
Any version of Lara would lose to Golovkin. The Lara that fought Hurd would have been crushed. Golovkin would have been troubled by Lara a few years ago but this version would be slaughtered.
