The 12th round on the Lara vs Hurd was quite shocking....

When the bell rang, all of a sudden Hurd came out swinging with combination, throwing 5-6 punches in a short time like as if it was just the 3rd or 4th round. Like how was he able to exert that much energy in the final 3 minutes of the fight considering how fast the pace of the fight was going.

Hurd has to be one of the most determined dudes in the game. He's earned my respect and became one of my favorite fighters. He's a must see fighter.

Didn't have a big amateur career, turned pro with little fanfare and doesn't take filler fights. Remember he was probably the slight underdog in the Galarza and Harrison fights, the Trout fight was considered close to call and he was a decided underdog against Lara.

Sure, he doesn't have the prettiest style and his feet aren't the best but he's an underrated counterpuncher, rips to the body and has great poise and patience. That probably explains his excellent stamina and power late in fights.
