Breadman, Floyd said Loma-Tank is next during an interview on Showtime during the broadcast.

Also, comparing Hurd-Charlo to Hagler-Hearns has to be the most ridiculous thing you've ever said. Well, second to calling Hurd a "technician." Hurd is big. That's about it. His power was extremely underwhelming vs old Lara. He's not very fast. His skills are mediocre. He just fights way smaller guys who aren't big punchers (careful matchmaking in other words), takes all their shots, tires them out from stalking them like the terminator, and then wears them down late. But if he was as good as you're saying, he would be fighting at 168.

I think Hurd is basically made to order for Jermell, and I think Jermell is overrated as well. Maybe if there is VADA drug testing for the fight, I would favor Hurd, but Al thinks the Charlos can become stars so I'm guessing he will make sure there is no drug testing in order to assure Jermell wins. Jermell would be the first guy Hurd has fought who is actually around Hurd's size, so when Hurd walks face first into 50 clean power shots the first 5 rounds, he's not going to stay standing like he did against Lara and Trout, neither of whom are big punchers.

If you read the article correctly you would see he compared Charlo-Hurd to Hagler-Hearns in terms of volume puncher vs one punch KO artist not on skill level.

I still don't get why so many people think Hurd is mediocre or unskilled. How does a mediocre fighter beat a technical fighter on Lara's level? This would be like Lemieux getting a decision over Golovkin in a 12 round fight.

          .
Oh really. If Hurd was good he would be fighting two divisions north? I've seen you in the past defend GGG staying in one division his whole career and never move up. if GGG is as good as HBO, Sanchez and you claim he is why is he not fighting at 175? I mean according to members of his camp he outboxed and dropped Kovalev sparring. so what is he waiting for? Why is he dragging up a green 21 year old JMW to massacre at 160? he should've been suspended alongside Canelo just for offering that inexperienced kid the fight.

Would not have used those words, but yes, you are 100% correct.

"In this era I think what has happened is we haven’t had many special guys under 220 so everyone accepts the fact that bigger is better. A loss of skill application has also contributed to that. I’m not saying it’s easy to beat a man 30lbs heavier than you are. But I am saying that the best heavyweights usually reside around that size."- Breadman

This is why Dorticos, Gassiev, and Usyk should make that jump soon, and the HW division will be better for it!

Your Joshua observation is on point. Also liked the Hurd v. Charlo analysis.

"If this is true it's a great fight. Davis is undefeated and a world champion who lost his title on the scales and not in the ring. Davis is one of the 10 or 15 best punchers in all of boxing. The kid can really crack. He punches like a mix of Zab Judah and Mike Tyson from a delivery and leverage stand point...

I don't know if it's too soon. Here is the thing. Once you become a world champion, you have to be available to all challengers and adaptable to all styles. Floyd Mayweather was 21 when he became champion at the same weight Davis is fighting at now. So that's hard to say. But I will say I wouldn't favor Davis to beat Lomachenko...

But maybe the kid thinks he can beat Loma. Lomachenko is a great fighter but he's human. If Davis has the confidence, give him what he wants. He's a fighter!"
                    - Breadman

I didn't agree with this earlier this year, but you know what, if the young man wants it (which he probably does more than Floyd) **** it! Canelo got schooled, and still succeeded. Leonard lost to Duran, and still succeeded! Who knew Pacquiao when he was 22? I think Tank wants that big stage, but we'll see how bad he wants it when he faces Cuellar!
