Both fighters were hit alot, though Taylor let himself be hit, and it was evident. Taylor could have put his hands up but like he said, he didnt fear wrights punches and was trying to work on timing his shots, didnt work too well but if they rematch im sure hell avoid that. A lot of punches got through wrights guard or went around it, and yes wright blocked a lot as well. But taylor landed much more clean shots then you guys give him credit for. The swelling on thier faces was intensified by headbutts, but really would have still been there regardless. You could see the bruising starting on winky before the headbutts started occuring, not so much with JT because its hard to see bruising since his complexion is much darker. Regardless a southpaw vs an orthodox fighter who keeps his head lower and forward will consequentially butt heads alot, its pretty much a given.

I co-sign this...I was just telling dinos dumbass that it wasn't just Jermain Taylor being butted. Wright was on the bad end of those butts as much if not more.

they showed a replay of taylor bringing his head up and butting the **** out of winkys eye/browbone. they clashed heads a few other times too, almost all of which had winky pawing at his browbone and eye.

Sorry =p I stated that wrong. I didn't mean letting like Winky vs Mosely, but more of he wasn't defending on purpose. He was inviting the punches and was hoping to time / counter them. Im pretty sure as shown later Taylor could have put his guard up and blocked most of those punches. I think Taylor would have won 8-4 on the scorecard had he not tried to time / counter winkys corner punches because thats the only place really winky scored punches was in the corner, oh well chalk it up to experience I guess.

I agree with this statement from grimgash. Both men were taking punches and were swelling a bit, both mens facial swelling was intensified by butts.

its not that people here cant judge a fight but since were all hardcore boxing fans we allways tend to be going for one guy in the fight.where as a casual fan watches and he just hopes its a good fight and doesnt care who wins most the time.Its pretty easy to give close rounds to the guy your going for.I had taylor winning 115-113 but im pretty sure if i was a winky fan or had money on him i would have had it the other way around.A draw seems fair and considering everyone here had there guy winning by 115-113 i wouldnt say anyone is way off.
