Comments Thread For: Joshua Hopes Povetkin Backs Off So Wilder Fight Can Happen

I think Joshua beats Povetkin easily. If David Price and his piss poor jab can mark up Povetkin, Joshua definitely can. That same left hook that Price hit Povetkin with would be a go to punch for AJ and unlike Price, AJ will be able to finish the job.Comment

after his last fight
i think joshua won't brawl with windmill
he'll play safe
windmill's skill is crap, but his big right hand will end joshua
i favor him nowComment

But does he hope that, though? AJ was always so confident and now I feel like the suits are getting into his head telling him to wait or do this or that which isn't good for a boxer sometimes. I think he's ready to go. He and Wilder are developed along about the same, but AJ has superior skills to him. Wilder is the wild card, though. He catches you sleeping and you'll be sleeping. Povetkin got floored his last fight and is nearing 40 now. If he has to take it; would be a good confidence builder having one more before Wilder.Comment

This sounds fishy. Has Hearn been giving Joshua training on how to play the mob ? Povetkin won't 'back down' from a huge payday - not going to happen. If I were the believe this, Joshua would have been talking about an appeal to the WBA to allow a unification ahead of a mando, trying to get public opinion to help with swaying them.
I bet Joshua is on the mic as Hearn is too busy finalising things with Povetkin.
I hope I'm wrong.Comment

Lol I swear this sounds fishy especially with the previous comments I've read. Sounds like some mis-direction here. If Uni trumps Mando then why is he or Anyone else for that matter talking about Povetkin!!! The Wilder fight is next then right! Nope! Did i miss something.Comment

Joshua would be chasing Bertha down the street singing 'you're the one that I want - ooh, ooh, ooh'.
